Xavier High School

In 2006 NCA was retained to assist Xavier High School with the creation of additional academic space. At the same time Xavier was independently evaluating the updating of their football and baseball fields.

The existing building was “U” shaped and the new addition serves to tie the building together and shorten travel distances between the extremes of the wings. It also allowed for the utilization of the newly created courtyard as relaxation, education, lunching and overflow exterior decant space.
After considerable discussion the upper level of the new addition was designed to accommodate the Music Program with a new Band Room, Electronic Music, Practice Rooms and Equipment Storage while the lower level incorporated new Chemistry and Art Classrooms.
The fields were completely renovated and the existing football/lacrosse/ soccer field is received artificial turf and a new artificial track and also includes field lighting to facilitate and extend hours of usage.
