Andrea Torizzo

Andrea T. Baranyk, AIA, LEED Green Associate is passionate about details and listening to her clients needs, wants, and expectations. She earned a B.S. in Historic Preservation and a B. Arch from Roger Williams University. She is licensed to practice in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Florida, and Washington, DC and is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Her community work includes CANstruction, an AIA RI Chapter community outreach event.

She is an expert at maintaining a calm, collaborative, and systematic approach throughout the design and project delivery. Andrea is recognized for successfully managing complex adaptive reuse of historic structures that incorporate challenging code requirements. Her work includes historic renovations, including the Micro Lofts at The Arcade Providence in Providence, R.I. This innovative adaptive reuse project earned seven awards including the 2014 National Trust for Historic Preservation Award and the 2013 AIA R.I. Award. Her experience also includes new buildings that incorporate innovative and sustainable solutions. She has documented projects to receive federal and state tax credits. From historic structures to new buildings, Andrea has worked on a wide variety of project types in her career including luxury hotels, public and private schools, housing, offices, fire and police stations, town halls, medical offices, and laboratories.
