NCA Nears Completion of Glastonbury Boathouse

NCA is nearing completion of the Glastonbury Boathouse, which is located along the banks of the Connecticut River in Glastonbury, CT. The construction represents Phase Two of the Glastonbury Riverfront Park that will feature water based recreation, new park facilities, and a boat dock for emergency first responders.  The new boathouse provides two bays of boat storage for the local high school crew team, workout area and coaches’ office.   An additional bay will be used for public storage of rowing and canoe storage.  The building’s upper level features an observation deck with panoramic river views, multipurpose room and catering kitchen. The new park facilities will also include a public boat launch, crew launch, canoe/kayak launch, Fire Department rescue boat dock, picnic pavilion, playground, basketball court, ice skating area, multi-use trail, and scenic overlooks. A new access drive, parking, and landscaping, will enhance the project.
