A fixture on Main Street in Middletown, O’Rourke’s was seriously damaged in a fire. The owner had no insurance but the community rallied around and worked with him to renovate and refit the diner. The NCA team researched historic documentation for the commercial project and recreated the diner with period details.

The Center for Marine and Nautical Sciences is a dynamic learning facility surrounded by a tidal marsh. The 7,500 square foot structure was built on the footprint of an old home. NCA designed an adaptive reuse plan for the International Yacht Restoration School at Aquidneck Mill, which servesas IYRS’ 2.5 acre waterfront campus.
